“ Where there are stars that shine, there we send. ”
– First corporate slogan
E-Knock Aether Send corporation is involved in Holo-Mesh and Lattice networking, commerce, shipping & receiving, supply chain management, and general couriering. Being the only corpo to serve that role, they have a monopoly on the business throughout the explored sectors of the Milky Way Galaxy.
The classic slogan has been amplified with other slogans as varied and wide as the aether sectors they cover. Below are a few which have been in frequent use.
– “Sending as far as the stars may shine.”
– “We go above and beyond to fulfill your order. To the ends of the galaxy, in fact.”
– “Just send it. Anywhere.”
– “A parcel is not the only value we carry” (generally attached to a poster showing an EKAS transport with live cargo).
– “Give us a knock and we’ll send it – anywhere.”
History
E-Knock Aether Send has been around since shortly after man first began to colonize the aether. Where people are, there is a need for reaching out for personal and business relationships. To accommodate that necessary component of life, the United Earth Empire, a now defunct Earth-wide government, made great efforts to organize a mailing system, which they called Mail Authority. When this came about, UEE colonies had by then expanded to one habitable planet, and an unspecified number of terraformed planets and asteroids. This system remained in place and worked for two decades, while off-world expansion remained relatively small.
Twenty years following the first colonizing of aether, there was discovery of a veritable Eden-like System that hid a multitude of habitable planets, as well as rich resource planets. Following that discovery, a great rush of influential settlers took flight through the aether in order to be among the first to stake their claim. The UEE Mail Authority was overwhelmed. To keep up, Mail Authority was forced to send and receive mail by any ship traveling to or from Earth. This resulted in frequently lost or stolen goods, letters, and packages throughout all UEE territory.
The great Enochian Sarkessian saw the need for a dedicated and centralized shipping, transport, and mailing company. E-Knock Aether Send was born. Using connections within the UEE, Sarkessian quickly mobilized several fleets of fast, spacious transports. Entire ship’s hangars were filled with cargo containers, within cargo containers. The whole system was alphabetized and numbered, with each addressee and sender required to register within E-Knock Aether Send’s own private system. Progress was compounding as more and more people registered. The relations of families and business partners, alike, were all tracked, and thus business between frequently contacted individuals were able to be expedited on steady shipment lanes. The UEE Mail Authority was grateful for the relief, and remained an agency until the collapse of the UEE.
During that time, Sarkessian increased E-Knock Aether Send’s fleets, ensuring quick and cheap deliveries to all colonies and aetherstations in the UEE. As the United Earth Empire’s reign began to waver, many navy ships abandoned post, taking their armadas with them and becoming pirates or mercenaries. Following this, EKAS’ fleets were frequently attacked, their goods devoured, and sensitive UEE materials stolen. It was at this time EKAS began a partnership with Hellshok Corp for security escorts of their most valuable transports.
After the fall of the UEE at the hands of the One Earth Ascendancy, the OEA was reluctant to allow E-Knock Aether Send to continue operating. Although the Sarkessians were already a prominent family in the OEA, historians believe that the relatively new government was warry of the rocky inter-family relationships of the Sarkessians, themselves, and that specific corpo’s close ties to the United Earth Empire. Due to that distrust, as the OEA began to bring mankind back into the aether, E-Knock Aether Send was barred from utilizing frequent routes of travel, except under OEA Carrion escort.
Following the Greater American conflict, and, specifically, the Sarkessian Offensive, the threat of the UEE making a return had been demolished, and so the OEA began to trust House Sarkessian, and, subsequently, E-Knock Aether Send. The High Seat officially performed a commemorative ceremony in-aether to celebrate the partnership. A proverbial “passing of the torch” was performed, with the High Seat, himself, donning the government’s oldest aethersuit design, to symbolize the Way of Eternal Enlightenment having dictated, even before it had happened, that E-Knock Aether Send was destined to bear the Courier’s Torch – an icon of the WoEE.

A commemorative painting of the historic passing of the “Courier’s Torch,” which the Way of Eternal Enlightenment reveals, in full simplicity, to be the inevitable destination of all things.
