An enigmatic man, whose serious demeaner is only amplified by his unwillingness to divulge information about himself. Collen is a philosopher, intellectual, and former professor at the Research Institute for the Advancement of Mankind.
Whether due to his upbringing or some other event which transpired in his mysterious past, Collen is very reserved, even methodical in his words, preferring to remain neutral in most things. Deliberate and slow to anger, both compliments and insults, alike, seem to just brush right off him.
Appearance
Collen is a burly, broad shouldered man. Most women would describe him as attractive and aloof, which is fitting, as Collen is rarely found in the company of women. He is the kind of man that just radiates an aura that screams tough guy. Which is strange, as he is much more a philosopher than a brute. His hair is brown, but he shaves his head due to a receding hairline, and he sports a set of bold, graying muttonchops and a thick mustache. His head is oblong and blocky, and his face gives the impression of having been formed from a slab of rock. Generally, his standard expression is that of one having been hardened through decades of stress. He peers out at the world through striking hazel-green eyes, which are set beneath bold, dark eyebrows.
Biography
It is unknown when, or even where, Collen was born, but it is presumed he is in his forties.
From 2263-2271, Collen was employed at the RIAM as a professor of philosophy and ancient studies. He was known among those on campus to be a fierce debater, and a staunch proponent of holistic living. His contrarian stance to Ascendancy dominance served him well among the more liberal members of faculty and administration. He was also popular with students, and the local community for organizing frequent extra-curricular events.
In the aftermath of the Sarkessian Offensive, the OEA stepped in to re-build the Research Institute for the Advancement of Mankind. Members of the Seekers of the Ascendancy then took up chief positions on its board of administration. Following this, vocal opposition to Ascendancy authority died out. Whether this was due to agitprop hires, or the general acceptance of their benevolence is not a matter up for debate. Regardless, Professor Comstock resigned shortly after.
In the Year of Eternal Enlightenment, 2277, Collen Comstock is one of the founding members of Evtola Innovation, and acts as its Vice President.
