“ Weakness breeds weakness, and weakness leads to death. But, from death there springs a root…a strong, bloody root. ”
– Necho, TUT: Neoteric, Verse II
Seth Warren, whom everyone just calls “Necho,” is a thirty-two year old former Fleet Chief of the Ascendancy Fleet. Considered a Hero of the OEA for his brave actions during the Sarkessian Offensive, Necho does his best to forget the past by embracing the simple pleasures of life.
Necho is one of the most skilled pilots in the Ascendancy. In his current position as a pilot of a commercial aetherline for E-Knock Aether Send, his talents are said to be wasted. This, because he now only flies pre-directed routes, and, of course, no one is shooting at him.
For unexplained reasons, but suspected to be due to the increase of terrorist Dissident activity, the Ascendancy recently requested his return to active duty, of which he refused.
Appearance
A handsome, suave kind of man, Necho keeps his appearance casual and relaxed. Since exiting the Fleet, he has loosed his military manners, and is generally unshaven, keeping a spotty stubble across his mug, which is concentrated around the chin and sideburns. However, as is sometimes done for the sake of tradition and comradery in the spheres of pilots, he keeps a thick mustache. Light-brown wavy hair has been grown to a medium length, which he keeps swept-back, adding sway to his natural “heartthrob” kind of attractiveness. He’s a slim man, but that slightness suits him, and doesn’t make him appear to be weak. He has strong and attractive facial features most obviously beginning with a prominent straight nose running off a heavy brow, drawing attention to to an angular jaw, and a chin which juts out to an equal length as the nose.
Biography
Born in the year 2245EE, Seth Warren was raised by his parents in the refugee slums of Shattered Europe. He was schooled by various war-zone doctors, military officers, and volunteers as they came and went. During his family’s migration out of Shattered Europe and into Old Rus, the Diapsid which was transporting them was fired upon from a UEE outpost, striking both pilots and injuring all onboard. However, the Diapsid remained operational and one pilot was still alive, but bleeding heavily. Under direction of the remaining pilot, the young Warren, only just a teenager, managed to land in a nearby field. All onboard were captured as POWs, but later rescued by RAS forces. Warren would go on to join the Ascendancy, ultimately becoming a pilot.
After volunteering with the Fleet, Warren was sent to Winged Aether Weapons School (WAWS). During his time at WAWS, he would prove to be a maverick outside of flight missions, frequently bending the rules, and often leaving base in order to meet with women at local bars. Warren was reprimanded for his behavior many times, but his skill in a fighter’s seat always guaranteed a training mission’s success, and so he was rarely barred from flying. Despite his apparent rebellion, he worked well in a team, although he’d often convince that team to complete tasks in unorthodox ways, but never would he disobey direct orders. His team graduated among the top three in his class.
After WAWS, Necho was assigned to the famed Red Carrions of Kite Squad. After several years in service with them, he took up the prestigious position as team leader. During this time, he saw extensive combat in a multitude of dog fights in atmosphere, and throughout aether sectors surrounding Earth. From 2265-2270 Warren aided the Skirmishmen throughout the Greater American Conflict. It was in 2266 that he first met Laban Cyrillian, whom was then a Lieutenant Major. The two became fast friends, and remained in joint service until 2270 with the culmination of the Sarkessian Offensive.
Following the close of the Greater American Conflict and the subsequent subduing of Earth, the Ascendancy shifted to a focus on conquering aether. Fleet Chief Seth Warren bravely answered the call of duty, and continued his service in several more conflicts involving pirates, former UEE colonies, and independent nation-fleets. In 2274 Warren requested to retire. That request was granted due to an exemplary service record, and for his part in the famous rescue at the RIAM.
In 2277EE Necho is employed as a commercial pilot in the transportation of live cargo to and from Archlight Station. His Holder is E-Knock Aether Send.
