Handsome and calculating, Ubel Sarkessian rules over Archlight with a capable hand, befitting one bearing the illustrious title of a son of House Sarkessian. Thanks to his oversight, goods arrive on time, departures are expedient, Low-Lifers are kept in line, and the ASPS thoroughly check cargo and passengers, ensuring no Dissidents have a place to roost. With such a position comes many rewards, and Ubel is not ashamed to indulge in them.
Rumors abound among the common debtor regarding his luxurious parties, and the company he keeps. Some even claim that Ubel, and perhaps all of House Sarkessian, work closely with blackmarket networks, and, by extension, the Dissidents themselves. Even so, everyone knows you don’t ill-cross a Sarkessian.
Appearance
The Administrator is a decidedly handsome and mature looking man, although most are intimidated by him. He is bulky, with broad shoulders and stout proportions. For the strength and definition of his triangular shaped face, his visage could be said to be chiseled from granite. With brows thick and dark, he peers out from eyes that seem to weigh every thing they see. His jaw is strong, well defined and angular. His nose powerful and straight.
Biography
Born in 2237AD, Ubel Sarkessian is the youngest son of the Patriarch Ubaelon Sarkessian. Ubel grew up traveling Ascendancy-controlled Earth Sectors, splitting most of his youth between the family estate vineyards in the Farm Belt of North America, and various ancient holdings in the European Sector.
Schooled in both military and political stratagem from before the time of his first words, Ubel is a master tactician off and on the battlefield. He was instructed by the greatest minds of the Ascendancy in the hopes that he would one day come to lead House Sarkessian. Despite being the youngest of over a hundred elder brothers, his birth was only the second of Ubaelon’s first and most favored wife, Helen. Ubel was conceived when his mother was in her seventies, which was a miracle by all accounts. The first offspring of Helen’s was a daughter, and so the birthright of lordship over all House Sarkessian was taken from the eldest son of another wife, and given to Ubel – much to that son’s dismay.
During the Greater American Conflict, and especially the Sarkessian Offensive, Ubel proved his leadership and tactical expertise. At his family’s vineyard estate in North America, he single handedly commanded a small security force which routed a larger separatist attack deep within Ascendancy territory. That defense included protecting a vulnerable House Evtola and many lesser houses, as well as preserving the Ascendancy “bread basket.”
In 2277EE, Ubel is the first and current Ascendancy Administrator overseeing Archlight Station.
